IMO, Your Winter Capsule Wardrobe Isn’t Complete Without a V-Neck Jumper—Here Are 17 of the Best

Date:

Soft cashmere knits and high-street items that look designer and are worthwhile to add to your wardrobe are among the top V-neck jumpers.  To view my edit, continue scrolling.

V-neck jumpers fit neatly into what I refer to as “the classics” category.  These are the classic pieces that help you create the framework of a thoughtful capsule wardrobe, regardless of the fashion trends that are currently sweeping the industry.  The best V-neck jumpers are quiet, dependable workhorses that modestly put outfits together in a matter of seconds, even though they might not have the excitement of a statement jumper with embellishments, bell sleeves, or striking asymmetric cuts.  These knits will blend in perfectly with any pair of pants, coats, or winter footwear you already own.

Personally, I frequently wear high-cut crew-neck jumpers, turtlenecks, and mock-necks, but this year I’ve realized how simple it is to switch out any of these knits for a V-neck.  Furthermore, compared to their high-neck counterparts, they are frequently far less itchy and overpowering.  The ease with which V-necks can be dressed up or down is another example of their adaptability; they go just as well with jeans or leggings as they do with a flowy skirt.  This season, there has also been a tendency to wear them layered over a T-shirt, which gives an ensemble more color and dimension (as well as a little extra warmth).

Take note of my error of sleeping on V-neck jumpers for an excessive amount of time.  This particular neckline deserves a place in your closet when it comes to the best jumpers you’ll want to wear this winter.  The top V-neck sweaters, cardigans, and polos to finish off your knitwear collection are listed below.
