This Mascara Gets Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s Stamp of Approval

Date:

I often wish I could be someone who simply applies a bit of mascara and steps out the door feeling transformed, but with my long makeup routine, that seems unlikely. Nonetheless, I can draw inspiration from actress, author, and activist Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who recently shared with Who What Wear that her makeup routine rarely takes more than five minutes.

She mentions that she starts with a quick cleanse using Obagi Nu-Derm Gentle Cleanser ($45), followed by a good moisturizer—currently, she prefers Dr. Barbara Sturm Face Cream, priced at $240—and adds a “few drops of sunscreen” before beginning her minimalist routine, which essentially completes her base. “I’m not particularly fond of foundation, but I might quickly dab some concealer under my eyes and perhaps around my mouth, then I just blend it in,” she explains to Who What Wear.

Next, the 38-year-old uses an eyelash curler, followed by YSL’s The Shock Volumizing Mascara ($29), which she calls “fantastic,” and finishes with any lip shade that suits her mood. Whether opting for a vivid purple or a soft pink, she likes to blend the color using her finger for a subtler effect. “Then I use the same finger to apply a touch on my cheeks, blend it out, and I’m all set,” she adds. If Chopra Jonas has extra time, she fills in and brushes her brows with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz ($23).

While she often has professional hairstylists on hand, she’s also mastered a quick at-home hair routine, beginning with Anomaly Dry Shampoo ($6)—a standout product from her hair care line, sold exclusively at Target. After applying the dry shampoo, she usually styles her hair in a topknot, letting her bangs fall naturally as she goes about her day. To maintain healthy hair, Chopra Jonas emphasizes the importance of regular scalp massages, which she does at least twice a month. “I enjoy using coconut oil—or a mix of castor oil and coconut oil—since it boosts blood flow to the scalp. In my experience, it’s significantly helped promote healthier hair growth.”
