The Graceful Trouser Trend Stylish Londoners Are Wearing Instead of Jeans This Season

I’ve been purposefully searching for ways to dress up my summer wardrobe for the past week. Because I already feel like I’m slipping into the habit of wearing jeans, a T-shirt, and sandals every day as the weather gets warmer. But no more!

I was suddenly motivated to improve my everyday appearance, so I looked to social media to see what new summer styles and stylish ensembles inspired me. I spent a long time scrolling through my saved folder to see if anything caught my attention. One very obvious common denominator—cream satin pants—emerged among the hundreds (actually, hundreds) of street style, influencer, and celebrity photos I hoarded.

Many of the looks I saw focused on silky pants, suggesting that fashionistas have also been searching for something different from their go-to denim. This season, cream and white satin trousers are the ones to wear, though black and brown pairs were also popular.

Nowadays, brands continue to offer sophisticated pieces like bouclé jackets, big suede bags, and stylish slingbacks. Elegance is still a major trend in fashion. Satin trousers are a perfect fit for these sophisticated ranks because of their fluid fabric, which catches light in a way that always makes them look expensive (regardless of how much you spend on a pair) and gives the trouser itself a graceful silhouette. The creamy color scheme also makes them feel classic. Versatility is another important element that permeates the sophisticated style, and I venture to say that you won’t find anything that a cream satin trouser won’t go with.

Wearing cream satin trousers on a muddy dog walk is probably not something I would suggest, but that doesn’t mean you have to keep your best pair. They look just as good dressed up with a matching silky top and ballet flats as they do running errands in trainers and a tank top.

Even though I will always wear jeans, it feels good to look forward to getting dressed once more.
