Fans of The Traitors U.S. are hoping for a bigger payout since a fresh season has began with a brand-new cast member.
A group of people who are split into Faithful and Traitors are competing for a cash prize in the competition show. While the Faithful attempt to identify the Traitors and expel them from the game, sharing the jackpot prizes at the end, the Traitors aim to kill the Faithful one by one in order to take the prize for themselves.
There’s a twist now, though.

On Thursday, the 23-person cast of the popular Peacock series drove up to Ardross Castle in Scotland to meet presenter Alan Cumming for the first time, and the first three episodes of season four were published. But even before they entered, the host said that the “game will begin faster than ever before” by selecting the first obvious traitor who would later turn out to be the secret traitor.
The Secret Traitor twist, wherein that individual compiles a list of names for the Traitors to select from and kill, was most recently employed in the UK version of the series. In the twist, neither the Secret Traitor nor the other Traitors are aware of each other’s identities.
The candidates were blindfolded to identify the usual traitors once the group had sat at the round table for the first time. They were Rob Rausch from Love Island USA, Candiace Dillard Bassett from The Real Housewives of Potomac, and Lisa Rinna from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Before killing Rob Cesternino from Survivor in broad daylight, the Traitors first decided to kill Ian Terry from Big Brother.
Donna Kelce, the mother of NFL players Jason and Travis, had been exiled and proclaimed herself a traitor just before the Traitors were about to meet the Secret Traitor for the first time.
Many people took to social media when she was expelled from the castle to express their disapproval of Kelce being the twist’s decision, arguing that she might have advanced higher in the game as a Faithful.
One Reddit reader stated, “If she was going to be a traitor, she should have been a regular one or just a faithful one, not the secret traitor.” “What a publicity stunt that was.”
Donna Kelce made a mistake. Another user on X said, “Stop nepo casting on traitors.”
According to one user, the job ought to have gone to someone with more game show expertise. “Go all the way if you’re going to paint Donna Kelce as a traitor. Before she was exiled, we didn’t witness her truly betraying her country,” they said. A gamer is the ideal candidate to be a hidden traitor since they will know what to do with it. She didn’t.
The Traitors’ fourth episode will air on Peacock on January 15 at 9 p.m. ET.
