The Classy Shoe Trend Celebrities and Fashion People Are Now Wearing in Place of Mary Janes

Fashionable folks have been using neat Mary Janes or ballet flats as their go-to shoes for the past few seasons when they require something fancy. But this fall, a new shoe trend has been discreetly sneaking into the outfits that used to be finished off with other popular designs. Fashionable people are loving the vamp shoe trend this fall since it can change the way you dress. The versatile styles stated above will never go out of style.

What Is a Vamp Shoe?

The vamp is the section of a shoe that covers the front of the foot. On most styles, except for loafers, it sits near the toes. But for 2024, I’m seeing more pairs with higher-up vamps (that’s why they’re called that). The design stops in the middle of the foot and goes up the sides. Vamp shoes exist in both flat and heeled versions, and they frequently have a pump shape with an almond or pointed toe. This season, I’m seeing a lot of both types.

Who Is Wearing the Vamp Shoe Trend?

I saw singer and TV host Rochelle Humes dress the sophisticated shoe trend for meetings in Paris during design week. Some of the fashion people I look up to already have them in their closets. Humes’ midday ensemble was effortlessly elegant and fit her particular style flawlessly. She wore hers with full-length pants and a black, cropped blazer.

Model Elsa Hosk was one of the first to wear the vamp shoe trend. She wore a light-brown heeled pair with her jeans and T-shirt. Hosk’s choice of vamp shoes instead of regular ballet flats made her outfit look newer and more stylish.
