The most comfortable bra for women is one that you forget you’re wearing. However, finding a truly comfortable bra is not as simple as picking up a soft-looking T-shirt bra at your favorite store. Comfort varies according to your body type, chest size, and personal preferences. According to midwife and content creator Daisy Ashcroft, “People with a smaller chest won’t necessarily need as much support and will find light-supportive bras like balconettes or bralettes completely fine.” A larger breast will probably benefit from a full cup or a minimizer.”
To assist you in finding the bra that fits more comfortably, we set out on a mission to find the best bras for all bust sizes, ensuring that each bra was tested by two people to determine how it fit on both small and large chests. Now, we wholeheartedly recommend the options listed below.
Why We Love It: To be honest, this could be the most comfortable bra our testers have ever tried on. Regardless of cup size, this bra made their girls appear perky while feeling almost weightless. To begin, the material felt (and appeared) impossibly smooth—and it’s extremely thin, similar to a second skin. The combination of polyamide and elastane gave it a satiny finish and allowed it to sit flat against the chest with no gaping. Our tester notes that it did not show through clothing. And, despite the lack of padding and push-up (note: the nipples did occasionally poke through on extremely cold days), the underwire provided them with a nice lift and support.
Who It’s For: Big-chested women often have a little spillage over the top of their bras, but this one provided just the right amount of coverage.
Worth noting: Our one tester’s adjustable straps were too short for her long torso, but they never dug into her shoulders.

Elena, a tester with 38E cups, said, “This bra was both supportive and comfortable. The straps didn’t dig, the shape didn’t change, and the underwire didn’t poke. It was lifting, but not pushing. “Honestly, this is one of the best bras I’ve ever worn.”
Why We Love It: Megan Irvine, buyer of premium bras and shapewear at Bare Necessities, says this bra is one of their best-sellers because of “its all-day comfort and support from an underwire.” She explains that as a spacer bra, “the cup is made of a lightweight fabric that gives you the shape and support of a regular foam pad but with a lot more breathability.” Our tester found the band to be quite wide, hugging her ribcage securely before transitioning to thick straps. True to Irvine’s claims, the full-coverage bra was surprisingly soft and comfortable—so much so that our tester was able to wear it for an eight-hour flight and return to Europe. It also practically disappeared beneath a shirt, which is why Irvine considers it a significant upgrade over a standard T-shirt bra. Despite having very little padding, it provided excellent coverage.
Who It’s For: Extra support and shaping are the main benefits of this bra, so give it a try if you need a boost.
It’s worth noting that the stitching on the middle portion of the band is higher up and closer together than in the average bra.

Bailey, a 34B cup tester, says, “This bra is very soft and has no designs that will poke through my clothes. The cups had light padding that covered the nipples but was not so thick that it was uncomfortable or unattractive.
Why We Love It: Finding a supportive, functional bra that fits comfortably and doesn’t look like it came straight out of your grandmother’s closet is difficult, but not impossible. Thanks to the full round cups and underwire, our tester experienced no upper or side spillage while wearing this bra. The fairly thick straps also provided a good lift to her chest without making it appear too full. The bra was also very comfortable. It uses the same uniform fabric for the cups, band, and straps, which glides next to the skin and never causes irritation. It made it ideal for everyday wear, and our tester preferred this bra over any other on her dresser. Despite being a substantial bra with maximum coverage, a thick band, and a lot of fabric, it felt relatively light and comfortable on the body.
Who It’s For: Are you looking for a smoothing bra that will complement, not constrict, your large breasts? This full-coverage bra is for you.
It’s worth noting that putting this bra in the dryer may cause the straps to pill.

Sophia, tester with 36D cups, says, “This is my favorite type of bra. When I buy them in stores, I look for this. The lining wasn’t thick and was uniform throughout, and the underwire provided the ideal amount of support.”
Why We Love It: It’s no surprise that Skims outperformed in this category. With 11 nude colors to choose from, it was easier than usual to find a piece that blended in with our testers’ skin and underneath our shirts. It provided a smoother silhouette without causing any back rolls like some bras. Not only that, but the barely there bra was so comfortable that she fell asleep in it. She was pleasantly surprised to discover that it had medium-range coverage. The band portion was thicker, providing the necessary support without the boning on the sides. Despite its thinness, the fabric never felt too tight or uncomfortable.
Who It’s For: Do you have a chic, light-colored summer dress that requires a little extra coverage? This T-shirt bra will provide support without detracting from your appearance.
It is worth noting that this bra’s sizing begins to falter on larger bust sizes. We’ve seen this before when we tested the brand’s shapewear, which was far too small on more voluptuous figures. Skims appear to be slightly smaller than average, especially around the band.

Kait, tester with 36B cups, said, “I liked how much coverage it provided. I usually wear bras with no padding and that do not sit very high on my breasts. But after I put this one on, the cup fit nicely, provided good mid-rise coverage, and wasn’t as large as it appeared in the box.”
Why We Love It: This unlined beauty strikes the perfect balance between minimalist and structured. An underwire curves along the cups and extends up to the armpits, protecting against side slippage. The bra is made of sheer Belgian power micromesh and provides impressive stability despite its thinness. While mesh bras are typically not suitable for large chests, this bra supported our testers with ease. Despite the net-like texture, she felt no irritation on her skin. The fit was both comfortable and true to size; our tester stated that her breasts sat “very naturally.”
Who It’s For: Anyone who dislikes the feel of constricting padding will appreciate this unlined bra with a heat-transferred care label (no annoying tags).
It’s worth noting that, despite its strength and durability, the mesh fabric is translucent. However, when our tester wore a simple white T-shirt, there was no sign of her areolas.

Danielle, a tester with 36C cups, said, “The coverage was amazing. I fell in love with the bra after my first wear. The bra’s band contains an underwire, but it remains firmly in place without feeling too tight. I didn’t expect to love this bra as much as I do; I want to wear it every day.”
