As a beauty editor, I frequently experiment with popular nail colours. I want in on everything from nail art to nail trends. Funny Bunny nails will always hold a special place on my list of my all-time favourite manicure colours because, as much as I enjoy trying out different nail designs, there’s nothing better than a classic.
What Are “Funny Bunny” Nails?

Managing editor Poppy Nash and the rest of the Who What Wear UK team love OPI’s Nail Lacquer in Funny Bunny.
So why are amusing bunny nails so well-liked? OPI’s now-iconic Funny Bunny is praised by both salon patrons and celebrity nail technicians as the ideal milky white nail colour. Two applications provide a more opaque milky finish that lets your nails show through, while one coat creates a sheer veil of colour. It’s also really stylish.

It comes in both nail paint and a gel version if you’re getting your manicure done in a salon, and it works well on all skin tones. When Hailey Bieber’s manicurist, Zola Ganzorigt, popularised “glazed doughnut” nails—which feature Funny Bunny paired with a white chrome powder—it really took off. It goes incredibly well with other nail colours (many swear by Funny Bunny and Bubble Bath as their signature manicure combo for a milky-pink colour). If you want neutral nail colours but prefer a milky hue over pink, this is a perfect option.
Funny Bunny is actually Poppy Nash’s favourite nail colour. She works as a managing editor at Who What Wear UK. “I can probably count on one hand the number of times I’ve gone to the nail salon and not opted for Funny Bunny,” she informs me.
“I always get three coats because it’s sheer. Three gives it a more creamy, pale-pink tone, which goes much better with my skin tone than two, which is really too sheer and appears too white,” she says. “I also like that it doesn’t look too shabby when it starts to grow out—which is a big plus for me because I can be a little infrequent with my appointments!”

Manucurist Green Flash LED Varnish in Milky White

Manucurist
Green Flash Varnish in Milky White
$19
Since Manucurist’s formulas are the closest thing to gel without really using gel polish, I like them. These “cure” when exposed to LED light, but they are still removable and endure for around seven to ten days. Funny Bunny is a close match for the milky white hue.
