A well-liked celebrity makeup artist and former reality TV participant has away. 46-year-old Jasen Kaplan participated in the one season of Finding Prince Charming.
Kaplan’s death on January 1st was initially reported on Page Six.
The 2016 season of Finding Prince Charming ran on Logo. Lance Bass hosted the brief series, which centered on gay men vying for the affections of Robert Sepulveda Jr., the primary bachelor.
Kaplan was removed from the show during the second week, therefore his tenure was short. Surprisingly, Kaplan is the second Finding Prince Charming contestant to pass away in recent weeks.
Another graduate of Finding Prince Charming Chad Spodick committed suicide in the beginning of December.
After his time on Finding Prince Charming, Spodick left the entertainment industry. But then Kaplan did.
According to TMZ, Kaplan applied makeup to a number of famous people, such as Kelly Osbourne, Bethenny Frankel, and Lisa and Brittny Gastineau from the Gastineau Girls.
Lisa Gastineau said to TMZ, “I am startled and heartbroken. With Jasen, I’ve shared some of my best memories. He belonged to our family. I’m having a terrible time comprehending this catastrophe.
Osbourne shared four pictures of herself and Kaplan in an Instagram Story on January 1. “I’m devastated, @jasenkaplan. Thank you for all the love, laughter, and joy you brought into my life,” she wrote. I hope you’re at ease now. Without you, life will never be the same! “Rip, my dear friend!”

Osbourne posted a picture of Kaplan with his dog, Coco, on his Instagram Story. “Jasenkaplan,” she wrote. I swear to take care of Coco at all times.” “I will forever miss our late night FaceTimes!” she added.
“You were the best Wing man a girl could ask for,” said the caption for another image of Osbourne with Kaplan. Every moment of our 25-year friendship was worthwhile.
Osbourne even posted an old video of Kaplan in her costume, complete with purple hair. “No one was as funny as you!” she wrote.
Us Weekly claims that Kaplan collaborated with Tinsley Mortimer, Eva Longoria, Lynda Carter, and Cyndi Lauper, among others. He collaborated on several events in September with Frankel and her daughter, Bryn.
Aubrey O’Day, a former member of Danity Kane and a former reality TV star, also expressed her sorrow at Kaplan’s passing on her Instagram Stories. “I lost my GHUB of 20 years last night,” she wrote. None of us who loved him have even started to come to terms with his untimely death.”
Several videos of Kaplan were posted by O’Day in an effort to “honor who he was, the love he gave, and the space he will always hold in our lives.”
“Please check on your strong friends,” she continued. I’m coming to realize that sometimes they are the ones who most need you.
Kaplan posted a contentious video on his Instagram site shortly before he passed away. He claimed that Jackie Goldschneider, a former cast member of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, had labeled him antisemitic, which infuriated him. On December 17, that post was shared.
There are currently few information known about Kaplan’s cause of death, according to Page Six. According to the media site, the NYPD informed them that they were looking into a death that occurred in Kaplan’s apartment complex in Hell’s Kitchen. The death of a 46-year-old male was confirmed by the NYPD.
Additionally, sources told Page Six that Kaplan died on December 31 while in a hospital in New York City.
