At Sunday’s 2026 Critics Choice Awards, Paul Downs and Meg Stalter honored Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner.
The Hacks co-stars showed up to the Santa Monica ceremony in full-on orange ensembles that were exact replicas of what Chalamet and Jenner wore to the Marty Supreme premiere in Los Angeles last month.
Chalamet plays aspiring table tennis champion Marty Mauser in the Golden Globe-nominated movie. The 30-year-old actor and his 28-year-old girlfriend Jenner have gone viral while promoting the A24 movie, especially with their ping pong ball-inspired ensemble.
Downs, 43, wore a bright orange leather suit, matching silk shirt, and orange boots to match Chalamet’s red carpet ensemble. He also carried a black leather ping-pong paddle bag over his shoulder.
In a floor-length orange gown with triangle cutouts at the waist and under the bust, Stalter, 35, was inspired by Jenner. Orange pumps, a matching cross necklace, and a cross motif completed the ensemble.

On the Critics Choice carpet, Downs told The Hollywood Reporter, “We just borrowed from friends because we haven’t had a lot of time to shop or pull while filming season five of Hacks.”
I won’t reveal the identity of my very close friend, but she allowed me to borrow this clothing. Stalter made fun of Jenner, saying, “Fits like a glove.” “It did fit really well,” Downs continued. That was the good thing—having buddies who are the same size makes things easier.
Chalamet won the Best Actor prize later that night for his performance in Marty Supreme.
He spoke to Jenner in public for the first time during his speech. “Thank you to my three-year partner. We appreciate our foundation,” he remarked. “I adore you.” Without you, I couldn’t accomplish this.
In response, the cosmetics tycoon and reality personality mouthed “I love you” back to Chalamet.
Although Jenner comes from a family that notoriously grew its fan base on reality television and excessive social media sharing, she and Chalamet have mostly avoided the spotlight since they started dating in April 2023.
They had only made one official red carpet appearance together before the movie’s December release, and they had only been pictured together a few times before, including on a PDA-filled outing at the US Open.
But now that the awards season has begun, it looks like the two will be posing for a lot more cameras than they did at this time last year.
