Dakota Johnson knows how to make an entrance—and then exit. Johnson, who attended the premiere of her new film, Splitsville, in Los Angeles last night, wore a pair of distinctly different yet equally striking disco looks, demonstrating that one night can call for two perfect dresses.

The actor began her evening in a custom Gucci gown that exuded peak red carpet glamour. The bespoke design had a strapless silhouette, a fitted, draped corset, and a floor-length skirt. The piece, like many of Johnson’s red carpet looks, was simple in design but eye-catching due to its metallic leather fabric that reflected light from every angle. A minimalist hair and makeup look, as well as a selection of dazzling Roberto Coin jewels, complemented the dress’s simplicity.
Johnson was joined on the red carpet by her Splitsville co-stars Adria Arjona, Michael Angelo Covino, Kyle Marvin, and her mother, Melanie Griffith, who looked stunning in a double-breasted power suit.

But the night didn’t end there; Johnson had one more party trick up her sleeve after the screening.
Following the premiere and red carpet, Johnson appeared at the after-party in a more sultry look. She changed into a thigh-length dance dress from Gucci’s fall 2025 collection, which, like her first look of the evening, was made of a shimmering fabric. Long sleeves and a looser silhouette set this emerald green number apart. Johnson’s glam and accessory choices remained consistent throughout the evening, but her dress’s shortened hemline allowed her to show off her pointed-toe heels.
In an age of overly planned outfits, Johnson’s quick change demonstrates that true party style doesn’t have to try so hard.
