The Gist
On January 19, Hilary Duff finally returned to the stage for the first time in eighteen years in London.
She changed into a cutting-edge nude bodysuit with a cape and rosette accents for her encore.
For the remainder of the performance, the vocalist wore a two-piece that was sculptural and textured.
Hilary Duff is transporting us back to 2003, so forget about nostalgia for 2016. Last night, January 19, the singer finally returned to the stage for the first time as part of her “Small Rooms, Big Nerves” tour. Her first headline performance in eighteen years took place at a small London venue. In addition to a few new songs from her upcoming Luck… or Something album, which is scheduled for release on February 20, the singer sang a set list full of her favorite songs. She sang her new single “Mature” and the fan classic “What Dreams Are Made Of” from the 2003 Lizzie McGuire movie as her finale.

She donned an iconic nude bodysuit with the most surprising avant-garde touches, such as a gigantic folded cloak and enormous pale blue crinkled rosettes, in a video of the spectacular encore released by Live Nation. Think more futuristic runway and less Lizzie McGuire. She accessorized the ensemble with white heeled boots that reached her knees.

Duff wore a more relaxed gray-blue textured two-piece earlier in the show, complete with a stack of silver bangles that were tagged with the year 2000. The ensemble had a corseted top and sculptural folded wide-leg pants.
Duff was, of course, a little anxious about performing again. (After all, the tour’s name contains the clue!) Before the act, she posted a sneak peek of her performance preparation on her Instagram Stories. The singer scrawled, “Show day,” while curled up in a towel on a pillow. “You better know it, London,” he said, trying to be regular.

Two singles from Duff’s next album have already been made available. She just released “Roommates,” in addition to “Mature,” and a video of herself dancing in the rain while wearing a butter yellow outfit. The Duff Renaissance has officially arrived, and we are all coming clean.
