Freckles are one Grammys 2026 trend that you may not have noticed at first sight. However, a closer glance reveals that, despite the sparkle and glam of the red carpet, all of the lovely freckles and beauty marks are visible.

Freckle makeup is not a new trend, but it has cycled in and out of widespread wear like any other. Glass skin and cloud skin have emerged as hot topics in recent years. Now that self-expression is regaining popularity in the cosmetic industry, embracing your traits or experimenting with artificial freckles is right on trend.

It’s definitely on style at the Grammys. A handful of celebs went for barely-there foundation finishes that highlighted their freckles. Billie Eilish opted for an extremely minimalist look, wearing only a short, thin winged eyeliner, smudged lips, and freckles emphasised with a touch of warm blush. Sabrina Carpenter chose a similar look, using only white highlighter in the inner corners of her eyes, a dark pink lip, and a matching blush that ended just where her freckles began.

Olivia Dean opted for a black lip that highlighted her freckles. Lola Young has been accentuating her freckles for quite some time, and they have become a part of her defining appearance.

Daniela, a KATSEYE member, frequently shows off her freckles, like she did tonight at the Grammys. Lara, a groupmate, likewise keeps her beauty marks uncovered and made sure to do so on the big night.

This pattern has been building for some time. To begin the year, Mckenna Grace wore them to the Critics Choice Awards. But even before that, we noted it was one of the most popular forthcoming beauty themes, with stars such as KATSEYE’s Manon supporting it.

As we enter the warmer season, we are confident that this trend will be adopted for everyday wear as well. If you want to replicate the look, see our favourite translucent skin tints and foundations below.
