Nicole Kidman has been on a travel kick lately—or so it appears based on her recent global escapades. She spent some time in Chile, where she posted the nicest photo of herself wearing elegant Chanel and wide-leg jeans while doing touristy stuff. Most recently, she was photographed in the Sydney airport (after a vacation to Sydney, of course), dressed in an unusual but extremely elegant travel ensemble that doesn’t sacrifice comfort.
Kidman was seen without big bags or suitcases (she undoubtedly has staff for things!), sporting a simple, sleek travel look that she could wear straight off the airport and no one would have known she had just jet-setted for 15+ hours. She wore dark-wash cuffed jeans, which appear to be a favourite of hers at the airport. She wore the cool denim with a navy blue cardigan, a double-breasted topcoat and white trainers with contrasting gum soles. A Chanel bag and big sunglasses provided some luxurious touches.
Aside from the Chanel purse and large sunglasses (which Amal Clooney also wears), I can’t stop admiring her jeans-and-sneakers look. While each on its own (a.k.a., cuffed jeans and white trainers) is certainly always appropriate, there’s something about the combination—with a contrasting gum sole—that shouts cool girl. It has an easygoing and relaxed vibe, but it also looks quite sophisticated and put together.
It’s no surprise that Kidman, as well as Natalie Portman and Jennifer Lopez, have reworn cuffed jeans—they’re everything denim should be. And, while the silhouette was undoubtedly the hottest denim style of 2025, I believe it will be just as (if not more) popular in 2026; mark my words.
