On Tuesday, the Princess of Wales traveled to Bradford for a series of engagements highlighting the value of community and nature.
Kate looked beautiful in the morning, wearing a fitted blazer by Holland Cooper, a mocha brown rollneck pullover, and Jigsaw trousers in terracotta tones.

The 44-year-old wore her magnificent mane of hair loose and in light curls to the Family Action’s Children’s Trauma Therapy Service in West Yorkshire, where she met therapists, families, and children and participated in a creative therapy session for her first solo ‘royal away day’ of the year.
Kate later visited Wakefield Trinity Rugby League Club to learn about their outreach activities, even participating in a skills lesson on the pitch.
Kate changed into more casual gear, including a khaki green Barbour jacket, and looked like a super sleek action Barbie when she met with one of the rugby team’s players, before deciding to tie her hair up.

Of course, the princess has been crowned the unofficial queen of the updo over the years, sporting glamorous, intricate ‘dos that have admittedly included plaits, but this is the first time we’ve seen the brunette royal wear her hair in a side plait, which is similar to a style that schoolgirls frequently wear.

In September 2025, during a royal engagement at the Suffolk Silk Mills in Sudbury, Kate demonstrated a simple technique she employs to fix her hair when she’s out and about – and she made it appear absolutely effortless.

The princess demonstrated that putting her enormous, then newly blonde, locks into a bun is simple. Kate simply rolled her hair up, with no hairband or mirror and only a few seconds to correct it. Brett MacDonald of CULT Hairdressing explained that “when the hair is twisted before rolling it up, wrapping closer to the head each time, it causes the hair to self-tighten and lock in the base”.
