The square toe is one boot style that appears to stay popular despite changes in fashion. Continue reading to view the trendiest pairings of the season and learn why.
Recently, the weather in London has been, to put it mildly, erratic. The skies went from being sunny and over twenty degrees in a single day to a dangerous deluge in a matter of seconds. Without question, autumn has here, and the days of wearing flimsy flats and seductive sandals are long gone. As a result, I’ve started examining boots—specifically, my collection of bikers—more intently. But as I look through my feed, I see that the trendiest folks tend to be wearing square-toed boots, which I don’t yet own.

The square-toe boot, like the majority of fashion items, is not new. I can clearly recall my mother wearing a black leather pair a little later in the 2000s, which is a fundamental ’90s shoe trend that can be seen on old photos of everyone from Jennifer Aniston to Cindy Crawford. Nevertheless, the squared-off boot has endured and is still as applicable today as it was in the past.

The best square-toe boots offer a versatility that makes them a smart yet stylish choice for the upcoming season. They are arguably more refined than their rounded-toe counterparts, which can look a little dated if not executed just so, and far more practical than the pointed styles that are prone to stubbing, especially if you’re wearing them on your commute or when you’re clocking in a high weekend step count. They add just as much flair to a basic trouser-and-tee set as a maxi skirt and loose jumper, two looks I always go for when the seasons change.

It appears that everyone is now prepared to discuss, wear, and purchase boots once more. Searches for women’s boots have increased dramatically by 100% in only the past day. The market has experienced an unexpected surge of boots in new-in sectors, which only serves to highlight this. In addition, I am aware that the greatest boots are always sold out early in the season.
