Continue reading to see my selection of the season’s must-have outfit-enhancing square-toe flip-flops, which range from Zara X Havianas to H&M.
You can bet that, as a sandal enthusiast, I’m constantly searching for the newest styles in my beloved summer footwear. I’m interested in learning about all of them, whether they are suede sandals or heeled versions. However, I have discovered a sophisticated pair that may become my favourite: the square-toe flip-flop. Square-toe flip-flops, a modest yet eye-catching take on a classic, provide a sophisticated substitute for the more conventional and ultimately informal rounded-toe design.
Although I’ve never been against flip-flops in general, I do believe that, depending on how you style them, they may appear a bit messy and accidental. However, this problem appears to be eliminated by the square-toe design. It’s a minor update, but believe me when I say that it makes a huge impact. The squared-off style adds a sharper, more sophisticated edge that gives your ensembles a sleeker payout, while rounded pairs provide a laid-back, beach-ready vibe.

The way these shoes combine casual and refined styles is what I adore most about them. All of a sudden, your basic flip-flops go well with more than just denim shorts and bikinis; they go well with fitted pants, flowing skirts and silky slip dresses. It’s a minor adjustment that has a huge fashion impact.

Square-toe flip-flops, which have a laid-back appearance reminiscent of sandals from the 1990s, are quickly emerging as a major summer fad, and designers are taking note. There are plenty of fashionable variations to choose from, including the TikTok-viral Zara X Havaianas collaboration, H&M’s trendy croc-effect pair, and The Row’s premium version (which many would say began the trend).
