With Labour Day approaching, everyone is putting away their white shoes to make room for fall accessories, but Angelina Jolie bypassed autumn entirely and plunged directly into winter with her most recent red carpet ensemble.
On Thursday, the actress attended a screening for her new film, Maria, at the 2024 Venice Film Festival wearing a clothing that demonstrated her readiness for cooler weather. Jolie went from peaceful luxury linens to mob wife in a Champagne-colored Tamara Ralph gown with draped fabric down the skirt and a Watteau train, complete with an off-the-shoulder brown faux-fur shrug.

Jolie accessorised with stud earrings, a hefty chain bracelet, and a gold ring. Her golden highlighted hair was cut straight with a deep side part, and she completed her look with smudged makeup and a bright red lip.

Jolie will play the renowned opera soprano Maria Callas in the Pablo Larraín-directed film. Jolie told up about her final days as the vocalist, stating that learning opera was “the therapy I didn’t realise I needed.”
“I had no idea how much I was holding in and not letting out,” Jolie told the press, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “I was quite fortunate in that I was able to learn from Maria. When she approached her work, she explained that the first thing you do is straight jacketing, which means you don’t think about how you feel or what you want. Simply try to grasp the music and the composer’s goal. And you are disciplined, you complete the work exactly as planned, and you practice and practice. So I did it. Then, she added, the final step is to allow your personal and emotional responses to enter just when you are ready. And then, I was extremely fortunate to be with Pablo, who protected me. So, when I was able, I would let that emotion in and try something new.”
