Oh to be Hailey Bieber in Palm Springs, cooking cinnamon rolls. The Rhode founder was photographed in the desert this weekend preparing sweet goodies and wandering about in one of her signature street style clothes. Not to brag, but I believe she would have a wonderful time at my Thanksgiving. I’m from the desert, so I visit whenever I can. I also make cinnamon rolls, albeit they’re probably not as nice and aren’t from scratch. And, like Bieber, I enjoy a good New Balance sneaker, which she recently reintroduced into her winter wardrobe.
Bieber’s coffee errand look was as straightforward as it gets: She paired her black leggings with an oversized zip-up sweatshirt and white New Balance 740 sneakers. The simplest looks can sometimes be the finest! Her sneakers, however, drew my attention the most. For years, she’s worn various New Balance shoes. Remember her famous barn jacket moment? She matched it with white New Balance trainers (most likely the 530 type). She’s worn them with miniskirts, leather jackets, and athleisure, demonstrating the shoe’s adaptability.
Although I’m a little prejudiced (my 990s comfortably transported me throughout Amsterdam, Paris, and Copenhagen), I believe that if you’re going to check out a new pair of shoes, go with a style from the brand. They’ve also been worn by fashion celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston and Meghan Markle. Oh, and did I mention they are podiatrist approved? Happy shopping!
Bieber was most recently seen wearing this look. Hers featured a festive cranberry-colored lining, but I always like an all-white sneaker. It’s also quite versatile and can be worn with anything.
Podiatrist Dr. Megan Ishibashi suggested these sneakers to InStyle readers, stating that the cushioned midsoles “absorb all the shock and impact.” She also mentioned that they had “nice arch support,” and that her patients “rave” about this design being one they can “walk all day long in.”
New Balance is well known for their hefty dad sneakers, but models like the 237 are incredibly playful and nostalgic. It boasts a thin silhouette and a hefty sole that provides support for all-day wear. The greige tone is subtle, but it is available in a variety of colors, including purple and red.
Don’t let the luxurious leather appearance fool you—these may also be used as a training shoe. I like how these have the adaptability of a casual shoe while also being comfy and supportive in the gym.
