You’ve definitely heard about BB creams, or Blemish Balms, by now. Korean BB creams are some of the best! BB creams were first made in Germany to protect the skin of people who had facial surgery. They have since become quite popular in the cosmetic world, but many of the ones sold in the UK don’t have as many skin-care benefits as the ones sold in Asia. I’ve been trying out Korean BB creams for the past month, so I thought I’d tell you about some of my favorites and least favorites.
1. BB Cream in Hot Pink from Skin 79

This is one of the most popular BB creams in Korea, and it has a lot of benefits for your skin. It lightens scars and blemishes, protects against UV rays with SPF25, smooths out lines and wrinkles, and adds hydration. One of my favorite Korean BB creams, although it only comes in one shade (which is really fair) and two sizes: 15ml and 40ml. It’s fantastic for skin that is oily or a mix of greasy and dry, and I love how light it feels on.
The Skin 79 Hot Pink BB Cream has everything you love about beauty products that do more than one thing. It goes on smoothly and gives you coverage that looks natural and doesn’t feel heavy or cakey. The extra skin care advantages are a nice touch because it protects and nourishes your skin while you go about your day. It’s great for people who like a quick cosmetic routine or are always on the move because it really hits that sweet spot between makeup and skincare. Just keep in mind that it might not work for everyone because it doesn’t come in a lot of colors.
2. Missha BB Cream for Perfect Cover

This was the first Korean BB cream I bought, and one of the best things about it is that it comes in five different hues. I bought #21, which is quite light and works well with my fair skin. You may get it in 20ml or 50ml sizes. The only bad thing about this BB cream is that it made my combination skin feel greasy and oily right after I put it on, and I could feel it all day. This would be great for winter or for people with dry skin.
3. Skin 79 Gold Super Plus BB Cream

I got this BB cream as a free gift with my Missha products, and I love it! This one is a little more hydrating than the hot pink BB, but it doesn’t regulate oil as well. I think this is best for older, drier skin, however it only comes in one color, which is a little darker than the hot pink one.
This BB cream is like a small pot of gold for people who need more moisture. The composition has gold and caviar extracts in it to nourish and refresh the skin, making it seem bright and young. After using it regularly, I could tell a big change in how soft my skin felt. It hides flaws without being heavy like foundation, and it also protects you from the sun with SPF30 PA++. Just keep in mind that it might not be the greatest for oily skin types because it tends to give a shinier finish instead of a matte one.
4. Lioele Beyond the Solution BB Cream

I got this BB cream for free, and I’ve read a lot of reviews about it. Let’s start with the good things. It covers up quite naturally, with a richer color and none of the gray cast that some Skin 79 creams have. It only comes in one color and doesn’t have any SPF, so it’s lighter on the skin and less sticky. You may layer it for extra coverage. What are the bad things? After only one use, this gave me a huge breakout. Not good.
“Getting a shiny look isn’t always the best technique to make yourself more beautiful. More women are now drawn to a finish that doesn’t shine. You may also get a perfect, soft glow with the correct tools and methods. Follow these great matte makeup tutorials to learn how to perfect this style. “Improve your natural skin tone without the extra flash.”
5. Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream

This is another wonderful BB cream from Lioele. This one has SPF 30, which makes it stickier. This BB cream, on the other hand, does whiten and care for wrinkles, but it only comes in one color. I had better luck with this BB cream and didn’t get any breakouts, so I would suggest it to anyone with more sensitive skin.
6. BB Cream from Missha Signature Real Complete

This BB cream comes in two sizes: 20ml and 50ml. It’s the one I like the least out of all the ones I’ve tested! The package is beautiful, and there are four various colors to choose from. However, I found the texture to be so watery that it was hard to put on. Instead than covering up my faults, it made them stand out and created a very fake finish. I won’t be getting this again, even though I know a lot of beauty bloggers swear by it!
7. Natural Green Lioele Dollish Veil Vita BB Cream

I was interested in this BB cream because it comes in Natural Green or Gorgeous Purple. The green hue promises to hide redness. The (really gorgeous!) container makes it look like a pale mint green cream with tiny particles that pop when you mix it with your skin tone. I thought this blended beautifully, but it’s too light for me to use on its own. I use it as a base or primer under another BB cream or foundation, and it does a great job of covering up redness on my cheeks and around my nose! It also looks very cute on my nightstand!
