For a long time, I used sponge applicators to put on eyeshadow. Then I found several brands of cosmetic brushes that made it so much easier. I also used a wedge-shaped sponge to put on foundation, but I never realized how much I was wasting. Then, as I was trying out some new makeup, the woman who did my face just used a few brushes. There are no sponge applicators in sight! From that day on, I was addicted. After using a sponge for so long, some things, like the foundation brush, were a little hard for me to get used to. I’m very glad I learned how to use generally decent makeup brushes. It took a while and cost me a little money to get the ones I can’t live without.
1. Chanel Foundation Brush #6

Before I found this one, I tried a lot of cheap brands of cosmetic brushes for foundation. I guess I went to the Chanel counter out of desperation! I never planned to buy an expensive brush, but once I tried it, no other brand could compete. The brushes I used before either hurt my skin or made my hair fall out too much. I’ve had this brush for a few years now, and I’ve never regretted buying it. A few times, I had to put on my foundation in front of other people who were also putting on makeup. When they saw my Chanel brush, it was funny to see how much they wanted it! They wanted my Chanel brush for foundation!
In the beauty world, the Chanel Foundation Brush #6 is a very popular foundation brush. It applies makeup perfectly because its bristles are gentle and there isn’t much hair fall-out. Makeup lovers have loved this brush for years, and it has a reputation for being good quality and long-lasting. A lot of people swear by this brush, even if it costs more. They think it’s a good investment. People have even admired and wanted it when they saw it in action because it is so popular. In general, anyone who loves cosmetics should get the Chanel Foundation Brush #6 because it is a high-quality tool that works well.
2. Lancôme Mineral Powder Foundation Brush #100

If you need a face powder brush (which is the only thing I use it for), I suggest you go to Nordstrom right now and add this to your collection of brushes. The brush is so delicate it’s out of this world. The handle is smooth and easy to hold. This brush has been in my possession for at least four years, and it still looks and feels as wonderful as the day I acquired it. You can use this brush with any kind of face powder, however it was intended for mineral makeup.
3. Blush Brush MAC 116

I don’t like those angled blush brushes at all. This brush is great, just as other MAC brushes. It has a full, round form. I just use this for powdered blush. At this point, it might appear like all of my brushes are pricey, but that’s just how it worked out because I was so unhappy with the cheaper ones I had bought before. I didn’t know about Sigma and other brands like it, else I would have tried those first and probably never bought any MAC brushes. I’m glad I didn’t know about the brushes that are almost the same as MAC brushes, because I’m quite content with what I have.
The MAC 116 Blush Brush boasts bristles that are both soft and thick, so you can always apply it perfectly. Some people might not like the price, but after you see how much better it works, the price makes sense. It takes up the right amount of product with ease and blends it into the cheeks for a natural blush that never looks streaky. This brush may last for years if you take care of it, so it’s not just a buy; it’s an investment in your beauty arsenal. For makeup lovers who want accuracy and perfection, it’s a wonderful gem.
4. Bobbi Brown Bronzer Brush

Okay, this was a present! I would have bought it for myself if I had realized how great it would be, but it was just a lemming for a long time. You never look like you have dark streaks on your face when you use this brush to apply bronzer. EcoTools Bamboo Bronzer Brush is a less expensive option. You might not appreciate the extra fat handle. Don’t panic when you see that!
“Getting a shiny look isn’t always the best technique to make yourself look better. More women are now interested in a finish that doesn’t shine. You may also get a perfect, soft glow with the correct tools and methods. Follow these great matte makeup tutorials to learn how to master this trend. “Make your skin look better without the extra flash.”
5. MAC 239 Eye Shading Brush

I put this on my eyelids, and it gives me exactly the right amount of color. When I use other brushes, I have to dip them over and over again. I can generally dip this brush into the shadow once or twice and then I’m done. If you’re using a light or sheer shade, you won’t have to keep putting on color with this brush. That’s one of the best things about it. With very little work, you’ll get a great color payoff. Less expensive option: Sigma E55 for eye shading.
The MAC 239 Eye Shading Brush is great for both cream and powder eyeshadows because it has high-quality, densely packed fibers that make it easy to apply. It works the same way every time, which makes it easier to do your makeup, which is great for those early mornings or quick touch-ups. The brush’s shape is perfect for the lids, so it’s easy to blend shadows without any hard lines. It also lasts a long time and keeps its shape across washes, so you can always enjoy expert-level precision. This makes it a good investment for your cosmetic collection.
6. MAC 217 Blending Brush

I fell in love with this right away. Use this brush in the crease and move it like a windshield wiper. I’ve had this brush for a long time, and it still looks the same and hasn’t lost any fibers. If I use the darkest shadows, the color will wash out of the brush and leave it looking brand new. The Sigma E25 is a less expensive option.
The MAC 217 is a must-have for anyone who loves cosmetics. It’s not just good for blending; it’s also great for putting on a base color or getting a soft effect. You can tell how good it is since it stands up like a champ even after several washes. And don’t forget how easily it picks up pigments, which means you’ll always have a bold eye appearance. This brush can seem like a waste of money, but it’s really an investment in your beauty tools. To keep it in great shape, wash it gently with a gentle shampoo and let it dry flat.
7. Makeup Forever Brush #144

I use this to put crème concealer on the area beneath my eyes. This is what I’ll use to touch up my foundation if I ever need to do a spot touch up. I don’t want to have to get out my full-size foundation brush. After I put on my face powder, I put on concealer. This is the greatest approach to find out how much concealer you need for the day. Most of the time, I use the brush to pat. Sigma F70 is a less expensive option for concealer.
I have a lot of different brushes that I don’t use very often, but these 7 are my favorites. I do find them useful when I drop a brush and don’t have time to clean it and let it dry. Do you use any of the cosmetic brushes I like? I think that almost everyone who uses brushes will have at least one MAC brush in their collection. What brushes do you use that you would suggest?
