How many foundations, eyeliners, finishing powders, and other beauty products have we women tried to find the ones we like best? In the past, I believed I had found the right eye shadow and lip color for me, but I was always curious enough to test a new shade. But now I can honestly state that these seven beauty things are almost impossible to replace. I wouldn’t change them on purpose. That’s not to say that I don’t buy new lip balm now and then, especially if it looks like plum, which is my weakness.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup

This excellent foundation glides on perfectly with a brush and lasts all day, from early morning to late at night. When I’m ready to take off this foundation at night, I really can’t tell that it was applied differently than when I first put it on. You can’t say that with any confidence about most makeup products. People think that Double Wear is a semi-matte that can be built up. Oh, one last thing. This foundation doesn’t come with a pump, so I buy the cheap MAC pump applicator (Estee Lauder owns MAC), trim it to size at an angle so it doesn’t lie flat in the bottle and get in the way of the pumping action.
MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural

If I don’t want to do my whole makeup routine, I’ll simply use this to buff my face so I don’t scare tiny kids when I go out in public. But to round off the amazingness of Double Wear, I use this powder in a medium shade, and it makes my skin look great. The color of the foundation I use may be a little lighter, but the lighter one is too light. MAC Mineralize, you complete me!
E.L.F. Essential Eyelid Primer

I’ve tried a lot of highly rated eyelid primers, but they’ve all let me down. This baby costs a dollar and works just as well as the costly Borghese eye makeup base I used to use years ago. I remember wasting a lot of it because I would squeeze and squeeze and nothing would come out, and then BAM! Finally, half of the stuff would come out. There are no surprises with E.L.F. in a wand applicator. It just gives you a perfectly primed eyelid that keeps your shadows in place.
MAC Eye Shadow

There are too many colors and not enough time. I use a lot of different colors of MAC shadow, but Coppering (a Veluxe Pearl finish) is my favorite. I wear it on my upper lid and apply a small line with an angle brush right under my lower lashes. People love to give you compliments when you wear coppering, and it feels great to get them from beauty consultants. It might not look like they would go together, but I adore using MAC Sketch in the crease and Coppering on the lid. Sketch is a dark burgundy color, and Coppering is a copper color.
“Making yourself more beautiful doesn’t always imply aiming for the shiny look. A shine-free finish is increasingly more appealing to women. Maybelline Baby Lips
“I don’t want it if there’s a cure for this.” Yes, those words are from Love Hangover. I love this hydrating lip balm in the shade Grape Vine and can’t get enough of it. Yes, it makes my lips very smooth and hydrated, which is good for them. I haven’t tried any of the other colors, and I don’t believe I’d be that into them if I did. That is, because the smell of grapes drives me crazy, in addition to how this makes my lips feel. The hue, feel, and smell remind me of a Mary Quant grape shade that I never stopped loving.
Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint

I’d like to try a number of different colors, but my fave is Moody. This lip tint is a deep burgundy color, and the smell of peppermint oil in it makes me swoon because I love smells. The hue lasts longer than I thought it would. The color can absolutely be built up. To be honest, I have a hard time stopping using it because it smells and feels so amazing. I just wish it wasn’t so damned expensive!
Almay Eyeliner

I went through practically all of the eyeliners at Sephora and didn’t find anything I wanted to buy again. Then I found the best eyeliner ever at the drugstore. The Almay Eyeliner is water-resistant and comes with a sharpener. I acquire the black brown color since I use it to line both my upper and lower lids, and pure black would be too harsh for me. This eyeliner stays put, even on the bottom lid. How can you beat that?
