I love to have fun with my makeup, so I can’t get enough of different lipstick colours. I love wearing reds and pinks on my lips, but there are days when I want to try something different. That’s what I like about unusual lipstick colours: they are always fun, interesting, and a great way to stand out. Take a look at these one-of-a-kind lipstick colours and think about whether or not you want to try them.
1. Blue

Blue is definitely one of the most unique colours of lipstick. It’s not too weird to wear this colour on your eyes, but you don’t see blue lipstick very often. But more brands are making blue options, so the colour is becoming more popular. There are blue lipsticks that are light or dark blue. People have seen Ke$ha wear Lime Crime’s blue lipstick, No She Didn’t, on stage during her tours, and it looks amazing on her!
Blue lipstick is a bold and surprising choice that is becoming more and more popular. There are many colours of it, from soft pastels to deep navy. Blue lipstick is a popular choice among daring beauty influencers, and even celebrities like Ke$ha have worn it. It’s a great way to show off your style and make a statement. If you want to try blue lipstick but are unsure, start with a sheer blue balm. This will help you get used to the colour and give you a hint of blue. Blue lipstick can be a pretty and surprising part of your makeup look if you choose the right shade.
2. Green

It’s not just for Halloween anymore to wear green lipstick. Gaga wore a mint green lipstick in her music video for “Marry the Night” in 2011, which got people talking about green lipstick. Mint green seemed like the best colour choice because of the pastel trend. But in 2013, Pantone named emerald the colour of the year, and darker green lipstick options started to become popular. Dolce & Gabbana made an emerald lipstick that was very popular. Would you wear this bold colour?
3. Yellow

It’s hard to pull off yellow lipstick, but when you do, it’s magical. If you have pale or olive skin, it might be hard to pull off yellow lips, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try. If your skin is dark or tan, you’re in luck because yellow lipstick was made just for you! Nicki Minaj has worn yellow lipstick in her music videos and even when she was out in public. Do you love or hate yellow lipstick?
4. Purple

Although dark purple lipsticks can be found at makeup counters in the berry section, there are other shades of purple lipstick that are less common. Bright purple and lilac shades are a unique choice for lipstick, but I can’t get enough of it! Models like Cara Delevingne and Kelly Eden have sported some out of the ordinary purple lipsticks and I love it every time.

5. Orange

Recently, orange has been gaining more popularity as a lipstick color. This is especially true in the summer time and with coral shades. However, orange is still a unique lipstick choice that can really turn some heads! Stars such as Jessica Alba and Zooey Deschanel have worn orange lips on the red carpet even. What do you think of orange as a lipstick color? Do you like it as summer and fall replacement for red?
Orange lipstick shades, ranging from soft peaches to bold, vibrant tangerines, offer a refreshing twist on traditional colors. Designers often incorporate these fiery hues into their spring and summer collections, encouraging a transition away from safer, classic tones. Orange can inject a playful, youthful energy into an outfit and works beautifully across various skin tones. It’s a color that truly stands out, whether you’re dressing up for a glamorous event or adding a pop of color to a casual look. Embrace the trend, and you might find yourself a new go-to shade that exudes both warmth and confidence.
6. Black

Even though black lipstick has been around for ages, there is still something shocking about seeing someone sporting black lips. There is no better way to bring on the drama then by painting your pout black. Black lipstick is one of my all time favorite beauty statements. Singer Jessie J has been known to rock a black pout and she looks fabulous doing so!
7. White

White just might be the most unique lipstick choice on the list. It’s not very common and hardly any companies make a white lipstick. One exception is Manic Panic. They have a white lipstick that actually shows up white and isn’t just a sheer gloss. Few celebrities have dared this dramatic look, but Nicki Minaj has worn white lipstick in the past. Do you think other celebrities will try out white lips?
