7 Ways to Test Makeup

Date:

Going to the mall to buy new makeup should be pleasant, not dangerous to your health. Sadly, not everyone is careful when they test out beauty products. When I see someone take a pot of lipstick from the makeup counter and put it on their own lips, I cringe. I don’t know about you, but I picture germs crawling all over the lipstick and then moving to the next person’s lips. If you’re looking for new cosmetics, keep these seven techniques to test makeup in mind.

Put mascara on your arm hair to see how it works

If you start caressing your arm hair with the mascara wand, I’m sure people will look at you funny. Even if it’s being spread over a hairy arm instead of a set of eyelashes, you’ll be able to see how much it clumps. This will also let you see what the real color is when it isn’t stuck to the wand. If you don’t have any hair on your arms, bring a friend who does when you try out new mascara.

Take the First Bit of Makeup Out of the Tube

Squeeze out a small amount of makeup from a tube right near the opening and wipe it off with a tissue. Get rid of this little dab and put some more on a testing strip or the back of your hand. You’d be shocked at how much dirty stuff can fit into this small space in a tube of cosmetics!

Have the Tester Cleaned

Before a new customer may use a makeup counter with big tubes of lipstick as testing units, each tube must be cleaned. To get rid of any contaminated lipstick, the exterior coat must be scraped off. Most cosmetic counters have samples that can only be used once because this method takes a long time. The samples also get rid of a lot of lipstick that would have gone to waste.

Don’t put your finger in any makeup

Even if your hands are clean, you don’t know where the person before you had their hands before they put them in a jar of makeup. There should be small plastic spatulas at the counter that you may use to dip into any container. Then you may use the part on the spatula like you normally would. You should still be safe and use a spatula to scoop out the lotion and put it on your hands, even if it’s something like hand lotion.

“Getting a shiny look isn’t always the best way to improve your beauty.” More women are now interested in a finish that doesn’t shine. You may also get a perfect, soft glow with the correct tools and methods. These amazing matte makeup tutorials will teach you how to master this look. “Make your skin look better without the extra flash.”

Ask the person who makes the cosmetics for a sample Counter

Most makeup counters have samples of most of their products. People can try out lipstick, foundation, eye shadow, and other items that come in single-use containers. These little samples are far cleaner than a group of strangers sharing a tube of lipstick or liquid foundation.

Use products only on your cheeks

If you can’t get a sample of the cosmetics you want, try putting it on your cheek to see how it appears with your skin tone. You should be fine as long as it doesn’t touch any of your mucus membranes. I still wouldn’t take the chance, though.

Use Your Hand’s Back

To see how the color looks after it’s out of the tube, you can draw a short line on your hand with the lipstick. The back of the hand is also a fantastic place to see what color eye liner, eye shadow, and mascara really are.

You don’t have to wear a lot of makeup to learn these seven safe techniques to test cosmetics. Testing these goods in a way that hurts you the least is always a smart idea. How do you check makeup when you buy it in a store?
