9 Tips for Organizing Your Makeup

Date:

When you’re in a rush, the last thing you want to do is put your makeup away. Sometimes my makeup case is a mess and I can’t find what I need. Taking some effort to organise your makeup will help you save time when you need it most. It will also help you quickly find old makeup and stop makeup from breaking.

1. Use the Z-Palette

Combining some of those single eye shadows, blushes, and other small circles and squares of cosmetics will help you make a lot more room if you’re like me and don’t have much space. I found the Z-Palette, and it’s a must-have for keeping your cosmetics in order. It could take some time to get used to, but you’ll be shocked at how much better it looks once you’ve put all of your makeup in one palette. You may find it at zpalette.com.

2. Check for old items often

Having old makeup mixed in with your new cosmetics can sometimes add to the mess. You could have forgotten to throw away your old mascara or foundation when you bought new ones. Every few months, take ten minutes to toss away old makeup. You can also throw away things you don’t use anymore, such lipsticks that weren’t suited for you. This will not only save space, but it will also keep you from using outdated cosmetics that is full with bacteria.

3. Use a drawer organiser

Get a drawer organiser if you keep your makeup in a drawer. You can usually locate these in the kitchen or office sections of your local department shop or big box store. They come in different sizes and have different compartments to help you keep your supplies organised. If your drawers are deep, you might want to stack organisers or use a deeper one.

4. Use a makeup bag with sections

I used to keep all my cosmetics in a bag with two pockets. Everything toppled over every time I took it up. In summary, it was a disaster. Pay a little more for makeup bags and cases that have more than one compartment and can be closed. Use a tackle box or tiny toolbox instead if you want to save money. They’re pretty much the same thing, but if you don’t mind less colourful colours, they’re the same.

“Making yourself more beautiful doesn’t always imply aiming for the shiny look. More women are now interested in a finish that doesn’t shine. With the correct tools and procedures, you may also achieve a flawless, subtle glow. Follow these great matte makeup tutorials to learn how to master this trend. “Improve your skin tone without the extra shine.”

5. Split by Use

Try putting your cosmetics into groups based on how you use it to make it easier to discover. For example, put all of your lipstick in one place, your eye makeup in another, and your foundation in a third. You will be able to find what you need immediately. It’s easier to find the right product at the right moment if the division is good.

6. Use a brush roll

My brushes used to get stuck under my makeup, or they were so spread out that I could never find the one I wanted. If you have had multiple cosmetic brushes, acquire a brush roll. It will not only help you keep your brushes organised, but it will also help keep them clean. Instead of buying a big makeup bag, get a tiny one if you only have a few brushes. You can easily tuck both of them in with the rest of your makeup.

7. Put away the colour or label

As much as you can, don’t stack products on top of each other. It’s hard to tell what colours you have. Put your makeup out with the colour side up instead. If it doesn’t have a clear cover, keep it with the label side up so you can read the colour name. If you must stack, stack related hues together, such as different shades of green shadow or red lipstick.

8. Purchase Palettes

Buy palettes instead than single colours of lip gloss or eye shadow. These normally come in easy-to-store compacts with a lot of colours. Buy a palette that has your most used eye shadow colours, lipsticks, blushes, and even a setting powder to keep everything organised and easy to find. Some even include a cream foundation. Think about how nice it would be to have only a few thin palettes instead of a lot of separate things.

9. Use small chests for storage in drawers

Get a compact storage chest with a few drawers instead of a tote or case. Most of these are less than a foot tall and contain three to four drawers. They work well for keeping small nail polish bottles, brushes, eye shadow, and lipstick in order. Buy a chest that is a little taller and has one bigger drawer for taller things. Most office supply businesses sell these.
