Researchers discovered a connection between a woman’s psychological health and how she applies makeup.

Depression may actually be lessened by living your fashion fantasy, especially for older women. So apply lipstick or use mascara to curl those lashes!
According to a study, women who wear makeup on a regular basis appear to be in better psychological health than those who don’t.
Additionally, they are more physically fit since they can stand on one leg for longer periods of time and have stronger grips.
According to scientists, this is likely due to the fact that wearing makeup increases their self-esteem and encourages them to engage in more social and physical activities.
In old age, better balance is essential since it can lower the chance of falls, which typically result in hip fractures.
In light of this, researchers from Japan’s Kyoto Tachibana University sought to determine the impact makeup has on the physical and mental well-being of people over 65.
In order to determine the differences between women who wore it frequently and those who wore it infrequently, they conducted a study on 295 women.
Before filling out a mental health questionnaire, each participant was asked what kind of cosmetics they wear and how frequently.
Different experiments were conducted on:
Strength of grip
The capacity to stand on one leg for longer than a few seconds is a measure of fragility.
According to the findings, which were published in the journal Healthcare, 72% of the women routinely wore makeup, primarily blush, eye shadow, lipstick, and foundation.
Compared to women who used makeup infrequently or never, these women scored higher on mood, strength, and balance.
“Applying makeup is a meaningful activity that may promote social participation among older women,” the researchers stated. It produces psychological pleasure by arousing the senses of touch, smell, and sight.
Better psychological function and dynamic equilibrium were linked to lipstick and eyebrow cosmetics. They came to the conclusion that it might even help older women become more physically independent.
